Day 1; Reached china!

Finally the day and time is here! All of us who are in Group 1 gathered in Singapore Airport Terminal 1 row 12 wearing the given OIP yellow shirt representing Ngee Ann Polytechnic MDE student. Families, Friends, lecturers gathered around to take photo, bid farewell and to send us off.

As this is my first time leaving my home, family, friends, country for the whole long entire 6 weeks, I am definitely going to miss everyone of them. Though i knew i should be strong and face the fact that I am going overseas, I still burst out into tears when i think of not being able to see my close ones for the next 6 weeks.

My mama, dad and younger sister actually sacrifice their sleep to fetch me and send me off to china. Am grateful that they come down to send me off! Missing them in Wuhan now!
Friends the came too! no more shopping with you all for the next 6 weeks! Enjoy staying in Singapore.

After taking pictures and bid farewell, it is time for us to Check in. I am very excited and looking forwards to the trip as it is my first time taking aeroplane! so, i got my ticket from Mr Joseph Loh and throw my luggage in the conveyor belt and was issued a sticker for the luggage. Upon entering the transit area, all of us were feeling heavy hearted as the thought of being away from our families filled the air. ):

The elmo everybody recognise, touched and remember. Famous in Day 1! Flying off soon! walked a distance before going in the plane.

Before long, we are already in the air. flying high above Singapore. Look at the scenery! very nice right? Oh yes, before the plane took off, Alvin was telling us about how the air pressure would make our ears and eyes bleed and he was sitting beside me and Shun Qing which we both were on our maiden flight. However, we managed to overcome the phobia of flying.

Reached GuangZhou for transit. 1st thing in mind was to carry our bags infront. It is part of the culture of China to have professional pickpockets capable of stealing your belongings. It is important to stick with the crowd in this situation.

After much debate on where to have our lunch, we decided upon Restaurant Jin Long to eat.

Huge bowl of noodle for lunch. quite tasteless and pricey.

Shop in the Airport. Items = definitely pricey.

Us being bored while waiting for our next flight. Pink ticket is our 2nd flight Air ticket.

The aeroplane we're going to take to WUHAN.

Upon reaching Wuhan, we boarded the bus that would take us to WUST campus. By then, Reb and I were looking tired from travelling around with our heavy luggage.

Reached campus, went to the restaurant near the campus to have our dinner.

Our sumptuous dinner that we can't finish.

Hostel toilet hole. Super dangerous and tiring. Have to stand around it to bathe and making sure your shampoo, leg or anything doesn't drop inside. Bathe with caution.

Our super hard to activate shower. you have to actually turn the hose in order to start the shower. It was complicated at first, however after i got the hang of it, it became easy to use. Something different from Singapore.

After a long day, all that we were looking forward to was getting a nice rest. Travelling is indeed tiring. It was my first time taking an aeroplane and being so near to the clouds and the sun! Excited to the max. However there was nothing much to do throughout the journey and once we reached China, EVERYTHING is in CHINESE!

When I got seperated from my family to board the plane, I made a choice to become independent for this 6 weeks in Wuhan. decided to be stronger to face all the different type of difficulties, problems and setback. As well as HAVING FUN! WHEEEEEEEE.
